The Room-Based Toolkit supports practitioners and leaders to understand progression across age and stage, reflect on the quality of practice, identify strengths and recognise what is not yet consistent.

It brings professional language such as extend language, scaffold play and support independence into real-life practice, helping practitioners consider what this means in what they say, what they do and how they respond.

The toolkit can be used during daily practice, room walks, observations and supervision, and provides a clear link between reflection and quality improvement planning.
